1890's Collard and Collard English Rosewood cottage piano converted to digital piano .
Between age and inherent design flaws these charming "birdcage" piano's are usually no longer tunable or playable .
This one could not be repaired.
After seeing too many of these end up in the dump I decided to save this one and install a digital keyboard .
The piano itself is not massive like many of the old uprights and with all the cast iron parts removed it is quite light and easy to move around.
I've installed a Korg SP170 keyboard with 10 basic sounds and other effects.
An internal Denon PMA 300 V power amp rated @ 60 watts per channel powers two Cambridge Soundworks Model 6
speakers and two Optimus compact speakers. Everything turns on with one switch and one volume control. External headphone jack is mounted under the keybed.
I will offer this for sale @ 2750.00 and include a professional first floor move within 30 miles of Marlboro Ma.
